Networking Tips For Actors

This is where I’m going to tell you to use your imagination and think for yourself.

We have a tendency to ask for answers to our problems when we can come up with them ourselves and in the long run it’s not helpful for others to simply tell us to do this or do that.

Asking someone else is often a sign you haven’t thought too much about it or simply opened your mind up to possibilities other than those activities you see everyone else doing.

If you simply create your path based on what you can come up with yourself, you will get where you need to go. Turn to others, and they will only tell you what they know, further limiting your choices.

Open yourself up to the possibilities offered by the universe. There are unlimited ways to improve your life situation.

Since you know you want to get into acting, look around you at all the of the people and places and things that influence an actors life, not only at the stage you are at now, but down the road.

Connect with filmmakers away from the spotlight. When they are the center of attention is probably the worst time to try to connect with a filmmaker. The best time is when they aren’t that busy.

Find ways to help them and they will find ways to help you.

Get out of the actor bubble and into the real world.

Does it have to be some big organized event or can it be a simple everyday encounter by simply introducing yourself to them.

Don’t worry about what everyone else is doing. They are all doing it wrong. Do it right!
