In the Room – Acting Audition tip

Actors often get very nervous and don’t know what to do or say when they enter casting offices. That energy often gets worse when the cross the threshold of the actual audition room. Here is a quick video of what a nice simple audition should look like…on a pirate ship…

Focus on what is not said…no excessive questions, comments, compliments, etc. Your job is to be the character and anything else will only take away from that, other than perhaps showing a little personality and sense of humor which helps break the tension and direct the focus onto you.
