Blog Post #111 – If you don’t start young as a female actor, you won’t be able to compete in Hollywood

I have two questions that should put your mind at ease.
First of all, is there any way to know how anything will go without actually doing it? The answer of course is NO!

Second, is there anything you can do about your age? The answer of course is NO!

So if you don’t know until you try and you can’t change your age, then don’t worry about it. Just do it and see what happens. Your best chance for success comes when you try. You have zero chance for success if you don’t.

Hack Hollywood will help you eliminate as much chance from the equation as possible so for every opportunity you will have the best chance to succeed possible.

I hope that is somewhat reassuring. There are so many ways of looking at things. You may think youth is an advantage but maybe experience overcomes youth. It reminds me of a bumper sticker I used to see on old rugby players cars – “Old age and treachery will beat youthful enthusiasm every time”.

You have to start from the point where you believe in yourself completely. So don’t bother doing anything else until you completely believe in yourself. Otherwise you are actually the biggest impediment to your own success. Ironically we are all our own worst enemies. Other people don’t have the time to be our worst enemies because they are busy being their own!
