David, the numbers DO matter. The math DOES matter. If you’re going to talk about numbers and percentages you have to be accurate and succinct. Even if actors know it doesn’t work, they have to know why and exactly how the odds are stacked against them. That’s how their brains work!

Hey Billy, Thanks for your input. It’s great for a professional to weigh in.
Had a bit of a brain fart while doing the mental math. Yes you’re right the numbers do matter…to a point. If it’s one in 500 or 1 in 1000, there is a difference, but since my evidence is based on my own experiences and observations, it doesn’t hold up to rigorous analysis. That being the case, scientific or not, it doesn’t change the point of the piece…Blind submissions are not the best way to promote your acting career.
If you have any stats you like to offer, I’m sure everyone would like to read them, but of course they will only be based on your experiences.
Unless we get into the laboratory and do a double blind placebo test, we’ll never get an accurate picture of the submissions/jobs ratio.
Thanks,
David

Is there a continuation yet for the finale of this video? I cannot view it if there is.
