92 days agoWell I have some good news to share…I haven’t even posted this on FB yet…lol… I have landed my first speaking role. I went to my first audition a few weeks ago and I got offered the role I wanted today…so this lil ol background actor is moving up!

I listened to help my 21 year old son who is a SAG/AFTRA extra who is a Senior Music/Communications and is still at school. I”m 61 years old, had him at 40 and have been helping him since he was 5 years old. You actually gave me hope that I could start a new career and have hope for a new future. I was a singer who was told I was a natural actor. You give me hope when I thought my life was over. I’ll do this class myself if you’ll allow me to. Thank you so much for giving me hope for a future life for myself. I just don’t know how to sign up so maybe this email will give me the next step. I only have you on audio tonight.

42 days agoDavid thinks outside of the box and tells you stuff that no one else will. I cannot wait until he posts his next insightful bit of advice. The thing about David, acting folk, is that what he passes on to you is helpful, refreshing, and tested in the trenches info that no one else seems to dare to share. Most of all, it gives you HOPE, people!

30 days agoThere are plenty of people who will tell you how to succeed or ‘make it,’ and most are well intentioned, but you want to work with someone who has been exactly where you are now, struggled with exactly the same issues that you are stuggling with now, who is a lot like you, but who also figured out how to achieve his goals and become a professional actor. David and Hack Hollywood are the real deal.
If you’re lost, confused, and lack a certain amount of confidence, that’s only natural for a beginner. The trick is to ACT today, that will move you to where you want to go. Today’s working succesful actors simply figured what are the right actions to take and then they took them. They persisted, they pushed through, they never stopped learning, they got better at what they needed to get better at, and they did not give up. And they believed in themselves.That in a nut shell is what Hack Hollywood, or Hack New York, or Hack Anywhere, is all about: it’ll help you to believe in yourself by showing you the actions you need to take to succeed. It’s time to WAKE UP and start doing what you need to really do.
I’m so grateful for Hack Hollywood. I have been working in this town for a number of years already and I love that there is a place for actors to hold themselves accountable, gain insight, share their experiences, and refocus. Like David said, the more serious actors we have here, the better the site will be. I’m revamping my career and Hack Hollywood is my path. Keep it up team. Let’s take Hollywood over!
